January Hearing Partner – Bertha Gordon
We are pleased to introduce Bertha Gordon, Our Hearing Partner for January. Bertha has spent the last 22 years volunteering her time with the Hagen Ranch Elementary School and at the Delray Medical Center. Bertha wanted to be a nurse and help people. She makes dolls for young cancer patients that are given out in Miami Children’s Hospital and the Delray Medical Center. With her dedication to helping in the community, she recently spent 2 nights in the Delray medical center volunteering during Hurricane Irma.
Bertha has been with Hearing Partners for 16 years, she says, “I feel comfortable here and always feel welcome.” She secretly got her hearing devices after her family teased her for answering a question wrong because she couldn’t hear them correctly. Now she can hear every whisper!
Bertha is happy to be hearing clearly and not being having to turn the television up so loud! She stated, “I feel sorry for people without hearing aids because they’re missing a whole word.” Bertha refers her friends and family to Hearing Partners of South Florida. She also donates to our mission “Hearing the Call.” We pride ourselves in helping our patients and love hearing how happy they are with their hearing devices and what an impact they make!
